About

In the heart of the South’s largest city, a historic hockey legacy and a thriving local community reveal a story long overlooked, as the film examines Houston’s rich past, present passion, and the future question of whether it’s time for professional hockey to return.

Directors Note

The themes and ideas in this film are founded on more than a decade of experience within Houston’s hockey community — from childhood memories of watching the Aeros, to years of playing in local and travel youth leagues.

But this film is not just about one perspective, it’s about the collective story of a city, a sport, and the people who never stopped believing in either. This documentary reflects the experiences of teammates, coaches, parents, fans, and organizers who’ve all helped build and sustain hockey in Houston, and through this film, I hope to achieve these goals:

  1. To shed light on the often overlooked but thriving hockey community in Houston.

  2. Document and emphasize the legacies of the players, coaches, and fans who keep the sport alive.

  3. Contribute to the ongoing conversation about bringing professional hockey back to the city.
